Just like The Guardian....

1. In the equation E=MC2, c does loosely represent the speed of light.... there is an area of contention involved within that the quizmaster cannot be arsed to contend further.

2. The Daphne du Maurier Festival takes place at Fowey and not Lostwithiel, as previously stated. Makes sense as she lived in that crookedy house by the beach at Fowey and never in Lostwithiel Very Happy

3. One we got right - it was very nice of Jo Bowis to travel all the way to the Southern Hemisphere in order to confirm that indeed, water can disperse down a sink randomly clockwise or anti clockwise, in both hemispheres Mr. Green

Just to confirm:-

The Nile and its tributaries flow though nine countries. The White Nile flows though Uganda, Sudan, and Egypt. The Blue Nile starts in Ethiopia. Zaire, Kenya, Tanzanian, Rwanda, and Burundi all have tributaries, which flow into the Nile or into lake Victoria Nyanes.

Hadrian's Wall is located about 100 miles north of Manchester, and runs across the counties of Cumbria and Northumberland on what was once the England-Scotland border. It's around a 2½ hour drive up the M6 Motorway to Junction 43 (Carlisle) and then due east along the A69 trunk road which follows the Wall along it's entire length to Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

So the correct answer was Cumbria & Northumberland and not the border.

The Greek God of wine was of course Dionysis and not Bacchus, who is the Roman God of wine.
